Message From The World Gestosis Organization
I bring greetings to you from World Organization Gestosis and would like to compliment you for holding this important international conference on Gestosis at Colombo with SLCOG.
Gestosis (Hypertensive Diseases in Pregnancy) still remain a major scourge of maternal morbidity. In fact, world over this is becoming a major cause of maternal mortality as we have to some extent-controlled sepsis and hemorrhage.
Gestosis defies specific diagnosis as now we know that symptoms and signs can vary greatly and the presentation and severity also differ. So, it is important for all of us to study this malady of pregnancy deeply and try to come out with better management solutions. World Organization Gestosis committee has been working on the clinical guidelines for management of Gestosis (Hypertensive Diseases in Pregnancy).
In this conference eminent international scientists of World Organization Gestosis from various countries will be able to present their research and guide on the UpToDate management of Gestosis (HDPs).
I would like to congratulate all the delegates and participants for showing such a great interest in this important endeavor.
With best regards
Dr. Sanjay Gupte
Secretary General, World Organization Gestosis
