The inaugural ceremony, together with the Professor D.A. Ranasinghe Memorial Oration, will take place on 4th September at the Marino Beach Hotel, Colombo 3.
This year’s theme, “Bridging Gaps in Women’s Health: Through Collaboration, Education, Training and Research”, embodies our shared resolve to embrace transformative technologies, cultivate interdisciplinary partnerships and translate the most rigorous evidence into the daily fabric of clinical practice. The scientific programme has been thoughtfully curated to traverse the entire landscape of obstetrics, gynaecology and reproductive medicine, featuring dedicated sessions on artificial intelligence in women’s healthcare, robotic surgery, feto‑maternal medicine and gynaecological oncology. Moreover, a series of pre‑congress workshops will impart invaluable hands‑on skills to all who attend.
We are privileged to welcome an esteemed panel of international faculty representing FIGO, AOFOG, RCOG, RANZCOG and FOGSI, alongside our own distinguished national experts. The congress will also showcase oral and poster presentations of free papers, offering an excellent platform for emerging researchers and trainees to share their work.
Beyond the academic offerings, Sri Lanka beckons the discerning traveller with a wealth of unforgettable experiences. From the sun‑kissed golden beaches of the west and south coasts to the mist‑veiled hill country, from ancient cities steeped in culture to the vibrant energy of Colombo, our island nation is cherished for its warm hospitality, rich heritage and breathtaking natural beauty. We warmly encourage you to extend your stay and discover the many wonders that make Sri Lanka a truly enchanting destination.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors, delegates and the organizing committee for their steadfast support. I warmly invite every member of our fraternity to join us in Colombo to experience what promises to be a stimulating, enriching and truly memorable academic gathering.

The theme of this year’s congress, “Bridging Gaps in Women’s Health: Through Collaboration, Education, Training and Research,” reflects our collective commitment to advancing equitable and evidence-based care for women. In an era of rapidly evolving medical knowledge and changing healthcare landscapes, fostering strong partnerships and continuous learning remains essential to improving outcomes in obstetrics and gynaecology.
We are privileged to host a distinguished faculty, including eminent experts from leading international organizations such as RCOG, RANZCOG, SAFOG, AOFOG, and FIGO, alongside our respected local specialists. The academic programme has been carefully curated to provide a comprehensive and engaging platform for knowledge exchange, professional development, and meaningful dialogue.
In addition to the main congress, a series of pre-congress workshops will be conducted, offering participants valuable opportunities for focused learning and hands-on experience in key areas of clinical practice.
I am confident that this congress will serve not only as a forum for sharing the latest scientific advancements but also as an opportunity to strengthen professional networks and inspire collaborative efforts in addressing the challenges in women’s health.
We warmly invite our international colleagues not only to engage in the scientific programme but also to take the opportunity to experience the rich culture, hospitality, and natural beauty of Sri Lanka during your visit.
